If you’re not following us already on Twitter then get yourself over there!
Once a week, we will be featuring a “Pick of The Week” where we pick our favourite item of the moment so that you can have a little bit more of an idea of the kind of treasures we have in our Primrose Hill store! Remember, you can always give us a ring on 020 7722 4442 to enquire about the item!
This week we picked a beautiful 50’s yellow chiffon cocktail dress with white flower beading, £175.

A few weeks ago Vogue Italia came and shot a video inside Shikasuki and the idea was about following plus size model Emily around to her favourite haunts in London. In the video, you can see her looking through the dresses upstairs and also wearing an outfit from Shikasuki.

Back in February, Shikasuki were asked to supply some of our lovely vintage pieces for a fashion show at London Fashion Weekend by stylist to the stars, Miss Molly who was styling the whole show. Of course, we were more than happy to get involved with such an exciting event!
For those of you who aren’t familiar with London Fashion Weekend, it is a 3 day event held at the official British Fashion Council space, Somerset House the week after the official London Fashion Week and all of the On Schedule shows like Burberry, Christopher Kane, Erdem etc. It is a chance to see both upcoming designer’s and well established designer’s shows and also the first chance to buy the amazing creations seen on the catwalks too.
We leant Molly a selection of our beautiful cocktail dresses and some pieces from our Ossie Clark collection which have been getting a lot of attention since the show and flying off our rails so hurry on round if you want to grab yourself an immaculate designer classic!! We also provided vintage bags and jewlerry too to complete each outfit.
Last Monday, the catwalk show was aired on Britains Next Top Model on Living TV! Two of the contestants walked in the show and in some of Shikasuki’s loaned garments; One of their girls was wearing a Biba sequin jacket, with the long blue chiffon ruffle dress and the yellow trouser suit worn by the other catwalk models. See the clip below with Shikasuki outfits on at 6.15 minutes into the clip:
We have rails and rails full of special pieces like these and a whole lot more at our Primrose Hill shop, including bags, shoes, jewlerry, belts, scarves, art and homeware so get yourself down and grab yourself a piece of fashion history!

Here at Shikasuki we are so so happy to be able to FINALLY announce the launch of our brand new website! Previously, our shop was a bit of a hidden secret known mostly by the many stylists who borrow garments for photoshoots from here, fashion designers seeking inspiration, celebrities looking for unique show stopping outfits and of course the Primrose Hill residents.
However, now that we are online you can all enjoy our archive of beautiful pieces and can now purchase pretty much anything you see online from vintage clothing and accessories, to fine art, a huge range of unique cards and fun bits for your home.
There are also pieces which are exclusive to the website which you won’t find in our lovely shop in Primrose Hill so don’t miss out on them.
We have decided to set up this blog as a supplement to the website to give you an up to date insight into our vintage collections, what goes on in our shop and anything that takes our fancy! It is also to connect to our customers and gain feedback on the kind of things that you’d like to see more of.
Get shopping HERE! (Apologies for the delay!! We will update on developments of the website as soon as we know!)
I’d also like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Elle and I am a fashion stylist but I also work as an online co-ordinator/blogger and general all rounder at Shikasuki. You can see some of my styling work here and I will be updating with any photoshoots I do, as I often use many pieces from Shikasuki!
